This passage is a cross-culture research on ancient Chinese fairy tale of Bao Si and ancient Greek fairy tale of Oidipous from the aspect of conception.The author points out that the fairy tale of Bao Si contains ancient Chinese concept of destiny and so does the fairy tale of Oidipous contain ancient Greek concept of destiny.These two conceptions not only have same viewpoints which can astonish people,but also have fundamental differences.The similarity is that they all reflect the inevitably unchangeable character of destiny,which leads to the similar plot.The difference is of the relationships between destiny and morality,which leads to different attitudes towards destiny.
