The pre-initials in the Tibeto-Burman languages are not only rich, but also diverse, which is very representative in the Sino-Tibetan language family. The types of the pre-initial have both differences and commonalities in the different branches. From the number of the pre-initial, Tibetan and Qiang branches are very common, Yi and Myanmar branches are very rare, while Jingpo branch is of the medium level. From the perspective of aggregation types, the pre-nasal is the most common, the pre-fricative is more common, the pre-plosive is rare, and the pre-affricative is not seen. From the perspective of combination types, the root initials tend to choose plosives, affrications, nasals and fricatives.
