东亚威权主义政权非常重视通过意识形态的宣传教化来为自己的统治合法性进行辩护。以新加坡和马来西亚的"亚洲价值观"、印度尼西亚的"潘查希拉民主"、菲律宾的"民主革命论"为代表的东亚威权政治意识形态从本质上说是为威权统治服务的,但也具有不少合理的因子。单一而又具有兼容性、发展至上原则、追求秩序与崇尚权威、集体主义与民族主义精神、"好政府"理念等是东亚威权政治意识形态的基本特征。

The authoritarianism ideology is the core content of the political ethics which is constructed meticulously by the East Asia authority rulers. For instance,The "Asian Values" of Singapore "Pancasila Democracy" of Indonesia and "Democratic revolution" of Philippines are its representatives. As a rule it serves for the authority ruling at heart,but has some beneficial agents.
