As a famous group of writers in early Qing Dynasty, nine writers in Yi-tang (易堂九子) with Wei Xi as head reflected upon the literary long standing abuse in Ming Dynasty,so they redressed the literary style through restoration. In theory, they proposed to break the sectarian jaundice and learned from writers in any dynasty, and stood to learn from the writers in Tang and Song to Qin and Han Dynasty. Therefore, their revival theory of ancient prose was the integration of Tang-Song School and Qin-Han School of Ming Dynasty. In fact, this was the literary mainstream in that time, and had an active meaning to change the literary style in early Qing Dynasty and an important position in the history of literary theory of Ming and Qing Dynasty. About revival ideas in early Qing Dynasty, academics probably think that the prose learned only from the eight writers in Tang and Song Dynasty, this conclusion in fact violate the facts.
