目前中国学界关于现当代文学的分期主要是一种"两分法",有这样两种观点,一种是传统的,主张以1949年为界将现当代文学分为两段;另一种是近年提出的,主张将新中国27年文学与新时期文学分开,而与现代文学并为一处。本文认为,现当代文学分期中最突出的问题是,新中国27年文学与前后两期的文学都有非常大的差别,它应当被切分出来作为独立的一段。因此中国现当代文学应当分为3段,即现代文学、新中国文学和新时期文学。
