Abstract

Aleni Jiulio was the one of the most illustrious catholic missionaries in the second generation during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. He placed his preaching work,main emphasis on the folks,other than in the Chinese court. He got his great achievement in Fujian Province,in the south of China,and was honoured as the "Fujian apostle". He worked in China for tens of years,and also got his achievement in the exchanging of the culture between China and The West,so he was called the Confucius from the West too. He wrote and compiled the Chinese works as many as 24 kinds. This was an unpreceded job. He got the highest level of the Chinese language.
